Lombardy's best start-ups will compete on 23 October to build the future of regional entrepreneurial innovation

On 23 October 2024 the final of StartCup Lombardia, the business plan competition promoting the birth of new high-potential companies, will be held. Organised by Lombardy’s universities and university incubators in collaboration with MUSA s.c.a.r.l. and promoted by the Lombardy Region, the initiative aims to foster the development of start-ups through the support of the university system and regional institutions.

Now in its 22nd edition, StartCup Lombardia has contributed to the birth of 41 companies since 2016, consolidating its role as a catalyst for Lombardy’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. The competition, created in 2003 by the Politecnico di Milano, aims to stimulate innovation in universities, with a focus on strategic sectors such as ICT and Services, Life Sciences and Medtech and Industrial Technologies.

The aim of the competition is to stimulate economic development in the area by promoting collaboration between universities, incubators and start-ups. Participating start-ups will benefit from mentoring, networking and growth opportunities within a competitive and innovative environment.

This year, the final will take place within the Startup Days, a two-day event dedicated to startups and innovation. On October 29, the FutureMatch will be held in collaboration with the 0100 Conference, offering startups the opportunity to pitch to Venture Capital funds and prominent investors.

The competition will close with the presentation of the finalist projects before a jury of industry experts and potential investors, ready to support the most innovative companies. StartCup Lombardy 2024 represents an important opportunity for the region’s entrepreneurial future, pushing innovation and the growth of new generations of entrepreneurs.
