The business plan competition supporting innovative start-ups in Lombardy ends on 23 October 2024, with grants and mentorship for the most promising projects
It’s finally here! Today 23 October 2024 the final of the XXII edition of StartCup Lombardia will be held, the competition that has been promoting the birth of new innovative companies in the region for over two decades. Organised by Regione Lombardia – Direzione Generale Sviluppo Economico and MUSA, in collaboration with Lombardy’s universities and university incubators, StartCup Lombardia has become a reference point for the region’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Since its launch in 2003, on the initiative of the Politecnico di Milano, the competition has been able to attract talent and projects in strategic sectors such as ICT and Services, Life Sciences and Medtech, and Industrial Technologies. Over the past eight years, thanks to the Region’s support, grants totalling more than EUR 1.1 million have been distributed, contributing to the birth of 41 new high-potential companies.
But StartCup Lombardia is much more than a competition: it is a springboard for start-ups, a mentorship and networking opportunity that offers participants an ideal context for growing and developing their business. The selected start-ups will have the opportunity to meet with industry experts and other innovators, strengthening the link between the university ecosystem and the world of entrepreneurship.
Tomorrow’s final will be the culmination of a journey of innovation, competition and entrepreneurial vision, in which the finalist start-ups will compete for prizes and awards, contributing to the economic and technological development of the Lombardy region.
