Over 30 start-ups and one-to-one meetings to create new synergies and business opportunities in the heart of Milan. An exclusive event at Palazzo Lombardia to connect young companies and investors, focusing on green chemistry, biotech and cleantech
On 29 October 2024, Milan will host Future Match – Connect Today, Create Tomorrow, an event designed to foster the connection between start-ups and investors. This event will see the StartCup Lombardy 2024 finalist startups present their ideas and projects, with the aim of capturing the attention of international investors and opening up new possibilities for entrepreneurial development.
Future Match 2024, an initiative organised by the Lombardy Region and MUSA, will be held in the Testori Auditorium and Biagi Hall of Palazzo Lombardia. It will be a day entirely dedicated to innovation, technology and networking, in which over 30 start-ups will have the opportunity to showcase their innovative potential in sectors ranging from green chemistry to biotech, medtech, deeptech and cleantech. These start-ups also include companies selected from internationally renowned acceleration programmes such as the ESA Business Incubation Centre Milan and Berkeley SkyDeck Europe, which will bring its SkyDeck Demo Day to Italy.
In addition to the startup pitches, the event will highlight the first edition of the competition dedicated to green chemistry, promoted by Regione Lombardia and Federated Innovation @Mind. This business competition will reward innovative start-ups and SMEs in the sustainable chemistry sector with grants worth €25,000. In response to a call for entries from 136 parties, six start-ups will be awarded for their high application potential, the result of a selection process involving Federated Innovation Network and Fondazione Cariplo.
In the morning, the SkyDeck Demo Day will offer an overview of start-ups from the SkyDeck Europe Milano acceleration programme, developed in cooperation with SkyDeck Berkeley and the Lombardy Region. This programme accompanies technologically advanced start-ups for six months, preparing them for subsequent capital raisings thanks to an acceleration path that includes training and advisory sessions. During Demo Day, an investor roundtable will analyse the European landscape for deeptech companies, followed by pitches from nine start-ups.
Future Match will culminate in Matching Sessions, one-to-one meetings between investors and startups that will foster targeted conversations to develop possible future collaborations. In the Expo Innovation area of Palazzo Lombardia, it will also be possible to visit the startups’ small stands to explore further possibilities for B2B dialogue.
