A unique opportunity for young researchers and innovators to present their revolutionary ideas and conquer the Berlin finale.

What are the next walls to fall in science and society? This is the challenge launched by the Falling Walls Lab Italy 2025, the event that annually brings together students, researchers, and professionals to present their most innovative ideas in an international and highly competitive context. The Italian stage of the initiative will be held on May 22nd at the University of Milano-Bicocca and will offer participants three minutes to present their project in front of an audience and a jury of experts.

Falling Walls Lab is not just a pitch competition, but a platform that values talent, stimulates debate, and opens new perspectives for the future of research. The stage of Milano-Bicocca will once again be the launchpad for ideas capable of breaking down the barriers of knowledge and creating a concrete impact on society. Applications are open to participate in the competition and will close on April 18th. To participate, it is necessary to present a project that addresses a current problem in the field of science or society with an innovative and disruptive idea. The event represents an unmissable opportunity for those who wish to test their intuitions and connect with an international network of experts and innovators.

The initiative, now in its sixth edition in Italy, is promoted in collaboration with important national and international universities and institutions, including Fondazione U4i, MUSA scarl, Università degli Studi di Milano, Università Bocconi, Politecnico di Bari, Università Cattolica di Milano, and the Italian Embassy in Berlin.

The winner will have the opportunity to represent Italy at the Falling Walls Science Summit in Berlin, one of the most prestigious events in the landscape of research and innovation, where they will meet scientists and entrepreneurs from over 100 countries. In addition to the opportunity to present their idea on an international stage, the first-place winner will receive a trip to Berlin with round-trip airfare, board and lodging included, as well as tickets for the event worth 3,000 euros.
