Two days of discussion between research and industry to develop new sustainable solutions in the chemical-textile sector.
Sustainability in fashion is no longer just a trend, but a necessity. Today’s consumers are increasingly attentive to the origin and impact of the garments they wear, demanding products that are not only aesthetically pleasing, but also respectful of the environment and workers’ rights. To meet this challenge, research and innovation play a key role in transforming the fashion sector into a more responsible and sustainable industry.
In this context, Spoke 5 of Musa has organized the conference “BIO&CHEM: Sustainable Innovation in the Chemical-Textile Sector“, which will be held on April 10th and 11th at the University of Milano-Bicocca, in the Martini Room of Piazza dell’Ateneo Nuovo 1. The event, organized in collaboration with the Italian Association of Textile Chemistry and Coloristics (AICTC), will bring together researchers and representatives of leading companies in the chemical-textile and coloristic sector, with the aim of promoting dialogue and knowledge exchange to accelerate the transition towards a more sustainable fashion.
Fundamental in this process is the collaboration between industry and research, as well as the involvement of new generations of scientists and technologists. For this reason, the event will also be open to students from the Universities involved in the MUSA project, including the University of Milano-Bicocca, Bocconi University, the Polytechnic University of Milan, and the University of Milan.
The conference will offer a unique opportunity to explore the latest technological innovations in new sustainable materials and production processes. Among the topics at the center of the thematic sessions will be new sustainable fibers, bio-based products, sustainable design, and the principles of circularity. Experts and companies including Bozzetto Group, Futura Filati, Lenzing, Rudolf, Miko, Achitex Minerva, Zaitex, Texticolor, and Baldwin will be present, bringing their contribution and experience in the research and development of innovative solutions for textiles and Made in Italy luxury.
