On May 29–30, the University of Milano-Bicocca will host the return of its flagship event on urban sustainability, featuring workshops and meetings between high school students and researchers from the MUSA project.
The GenerAzioni Festival is back, the annual event organized by the University of Milano-Bicocca to bring younger generations closer to the world of research. The 2025 edition, taking place on May 29 and 30, will focus entirely on urban sustainability, exploring topics such as social innovation, inclusion, public space, and the ecological transition.
Promoted by Spoke 6 as part of the MUSA project, the Festival will involve high school students selected to take part in a series of limited-capacity workshops.
At the heart of the initiative is a direct dialogue between young people and the academic world, offering participants the chance to explore the challenges and opportunities linked to the future of cities. The approach will be hands-on and participatory, supported by the B-YOUth Forum group, which will guide the students through peer-to-peer engagement.
The young participants will take part in a series of workshops designed to explore the research conducted by MUSA and will have the opportunity to work on:
– What kind of city would we like to live in in the future?
– Can the city become a place for sustainable and inclusive economic growth?
– How important is it to understand and study biodiversity?
– What is the relationship between city and gender?
– How do the mechanisms of urban transformation work?
