On October 31st at Bocconi, the final workshop of Spoke 1 of the MUSA project, dedicated to urban regeneration: focusing on research results concerning greenery, mobility, energy, and inclusion for the city of tomorrow.
Universities are not only places of education and research; today, they represent true laboratories of urban innovation. The expansion of campuses, the experimentation with sustainable solutions, and interaction with the surrounding territory transform cities into smarter and more resilient ecosystems. Based on this strategic role, Bocconi University is organizing the workshop “The Future of Cities: Research and Innovation for Urban Development and Regeneration”, scheduled for Friday, October 31, 2025, from 9:15 AM to 1:30 PM in the Aula Franceschi at Via Sarfatti 25, Milan.
The initiative is part of the MUSA – Multilayered Urban Sustainability Action project. Spoke 1 has focused on urban regeneration, developing research and application activities dedicated to crucial themes such as urban greenery, sustainable mobility, circular economy, energy, and climate.
The workshop will be an opportunity to present the results of the research conducted within Spoke 1, designed to support the planning, management, and evaluation of urban transformation processes. The meeting will be attended by representatives from the academic world, institutions, and businesses, the target audience for the scientific and applied content developed during the work. The goal is to strengthen the dialogue between research and the territory, promoting new synergies for a more sustainable, inclusive, and innovative city.
Participation is free, with a maximum of 130 places available. Registration is open online on the eventi.unibocconi.it website.
The event is sponsored by the Order of Architects, Planners, Landscape Architects and Conservators (PPC) of the Province of Milan and grants 4 professional training credits to architects who ensure complete attendance.
