Recordings from the First Day

How can university districts become engines of urban regeneration, sustainability, and quality of life?

This is the central question of the opening day of the international workshop “4UniverCity Futures – The City of the Future”, promoted by MUSA – Multilayered Urban Sustainability Action, the innovation ecosystem funded by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR) as part of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR).

The event, held at the Auditorium of the Italy Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, brought together prominent representatives from institutions, academia, and the business world. Milan, sister city of Osaka, played a leading role thanks to the experimental model launched through the MUSA project, which aims to make university districts more connected, sustainable, inclusive, and integrated with the wider urban environment.
