Until November 10, 2025, Berlin Science Week will take place in Berlin — the major international festival that brings together research, innovation, and society.

Within this framework, the Falling Walls Science Summit is held: three days dedicated to the “next walls to break” in knowledge, innovation, and sustainability.

It is here that today, November 8, the “Global Connections Italy” initiative will take shape — organized by MUSA – Multilayered Urban Sustainability Action, with the support of the Embassy of Italy in Berlin and in collaboration with its four partner universities: the University of Milan, University of Milano-Bicocca, Politecnico di Milano, and Bocconi University.

The panels and exhibit organized by MUSA will take place at the Falling Walls Science House, Karl-Marx-Allee 34 – Einstein Pavillon, ground floor.

An event designed to showcase Italy’s research and innovation landscape in dialogue with Europe, through panels, prototypes, and meetings among scientists, researchers, and startups.

A way to bring to Berlin MUSA’s vision: turning academic knowledge into sustainable solutions for the cities of the future.

Key moments:

  • Main Panel – “Innovation pathways: from academic knowledge to entrepreneurial impact”
with Antoine Petit (CNRS), Valentina Tartari (Stockholm School of Economics), Nicola Redi (Obloo Ventures), and Ghaleb Natour (RWTH Aachen).

  • Video screening and prototype exhibition
on urban regeneration, sustainable mobility, bio-based cosmetics, and portable air monitoring systems, developed by the partner universities.

  • Mini Talks – Meet the Researchers
dedicated to projects on artificial intelligence and human rights, sustainable finance, work-related stress, fab labs, and urban co-design.

  • Closing Panel – “From Research to Reality: How Italian Startups Are Shaping Global Innovation”,
featuring stories from Italian startups expanding internationally.
