At Expo 2025, MUSA brings universities, institutions, and industry together to shape the university districts of tomorrow — inclusive, sustainable, and connected.
The workshop “4UniverCity Futures – The City of the Future”, promoted by MUSA – Multilayered Urban Sustainability Action, successfully concluded at the Italy Pavilion of Expo 2025 Osaka. It was a valuable opportunity to reflect on how university neighborhoods can become drivers of urban regeneration, sustainable innovation, and widespread well-being.
A heartfelt thank you goes to all the institutions, universities, and industry partners who shared their expertise and perspectives, making the exchange broad, interdisciplinary, and action-oriented.
Osaka proved to be an ideal setting to strengthen alliances and open up new collaborations. The bond with Milan – sister city of the Japanese metropolis – served as the common thread of a dialogue that looks ahead while starting from the concrete: neighborhoods to transform, skills to connect, and young people to empower.
MUSA would like to thank all those who made this event possible: from the scientific and organizational coordinators, to the speakers, technological and institutional partners, and all attendees. This is only the beginning: the future of the city is a collective project that we will build together.
