Official launch on 13 June at the Green Media Lab: an initiative to promote circular and sustainable practices in the industry
On 13 June at 10 a.m. at the Green Media Lab, media relations and digital company the launch of R4MILANOECOSYSTEM, the brand new multi-stakeholder digital platform designed to bring more companies and citizens closer to sustainable and circular practices in the fashion and design sectors.
Promoting, accelerating and evaluating the development of new sustainable and circular processes for the fashion, luxury and design industries, generating value for the city of Milan and replicable in other cities: this is the objective of the project involving 24 public and private entities, led and promoted by Bocconi University, with the team composed of Carlo Salvato, Francesca Romana Rinaldi, Elena Scoccianti, Francesca Boni, Nicola Ruggiu, Camilla Carrara and Fahimeh Khatami.
During the event, the first three pilot projects will be presented: ‘From Fashion to Design’, ‘Bio-plas-pack’, and ‘Shoes keep walking’, developed within R4MILANOECOSYSTEM with the collaboration of Milanese universities and some local stakeholders. The project is part of MUSA (Multilayered Urban Sustainability Action) Spoke 5, funded by the PNRR and developed by the Politecnico di Milano, Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca, Università Bocconi and Università degli Studi di Milano – La Statale. This project involves 24 public and private entities with the aim of transforming the Milan metropolitan area into an innovation ecosystem for urban regeneration.
The partners involved include the Politecnico di Milano, the University of Milan-Bicocca and the University of Milan – La Statale. Also supporting the initiative is the Monitor for Circular Fashion SDA Bocconi, a multi-stakeholder project that brings together virtuous companies in the fashion industry, promoting traceability and transparency to contribute to the transition towards circular business models.
