8 posters were awarded for their scientific quality, innovation, and ability to propose solutions with a real impact on urban life.

The day of December 4th at Palazzo Reale represented a central moment of feedback and vision for the future of the MUSA ecosystem. Alongside institutional speeches and the presentation of the Strategic Plan, a special role was reserved for celebrating the research developed within the project.

During the session led by Technical-Scientific Experts Gabriele Lobaccaro and Rafael Luque, the most deserving posters were awarded among the over 150 presented in the Poster Session on December 3rd. The winning works stood out for their scientific quality, innovation, and ability to propose solutions with a real impact on urban life.

Digital Transition

  • E-Welfare and the City: Co-Designing Digital Welfare Access and Social Inclusion

    • Author: Claudia Mastrantoni – POLIMI

    • The poster explores how digital welfare services can be co-designed with citizens and communities to improve access to benefits and promote greater social inclusion.

Education & Training

  • Ambasciatrici di Scienza: role models for a gender-equal STEM future

    • Author: Erika Grammatica – UNIMIB

    • A project that highlights the role of female models in STEM disciplines, with the goal of reducing the gender gap and promoting a culture of equality starting from the educational phases.

Green Transition

  • Designing invisible forests: photocatalytic coatings for urban regeneration

    • Author: Stefania Carraro – BOCCONI

    • The research proposes the use of photocatalytic coatings as “invisible forests” capable of improving air quality and regenerating urban spaces, contributing to cleaner and more resilient cities.

Growth & Innovation

  • The Startup Clinics: B4i – Bocconi for Innovation Legal and Sustainability Clinics for Specialized Support to Startups

    • Author: Ludovico Dejak – BOCCONI

    • The work presents an innovative support model for startups, based on legal and sustainability clinics that offer advanced consulting to new, high-potential businesses.

Healthcare Services

  • The SERENADE pilot: our experience in detecting behavioral changes in the home of elderly subjects

    • Author: Gabriele Civitarese – UNIMI

    • The SERENADE experimental project uses non-invasive monitoring systems to detect behavioral changes in the elderly, with the goal of improving prevention, assistance, and quality of life.

Social Infrastructure

  • The Planning Game. Inclusion and Coordination in the Governance of Urban Regeneration Projects

    • Author: Eleonora Gregori Ferri – UNIMI

    • A work dedicated to participatory processes in urban transformations, which analyzes how collaborative tools can foster inclusion, coordination, and more effective governance of regeneration projects.

In addition to the category awards, the Technical-Scientific Experts gave a special mention to two projects that stood out for their vision, methodological approach, and innovative potential in rethinking the contemporary city:

  • Emotional Cities

    • A project that explores the relationship between human emotions and urban space, analyzing how affective data can contribute to the design of more inclusive cities that are responsive to people’s real needs.

  • Mapping Human Experience in urban digital twins

    • A work that integrates human experience within the city’s digital models (Digital Twins), opening new possibilities for urban planning based on daily behaviors, perceptions, and interactions.
