The opportunities in venture capital, equity crowdfunding and tokenization: discovering unconventional ways to finance the future of enterprises

A new meeting of the Entrepreneurs’ Cafés, the networking events organised as part of the MUSA project held by experts and innovators, is coming up. The appointment this time is for 28 May from 9 to 10.30 a.m. at Academy FrancoAngeli in Milan.

The title this time will be “Alternative Finance? Yes, please! The opportunities offered by venture capital, equity crowdfunding and tokenization” and will feature Andrea Notari (Corporate Venture Capital and Open Innovation Manager – CREDEM Credito Emiliano Spa), Antonella Grassigli (CEO and Co-Founder – Doorway) and
Mario Moschetta (CEO and Co-Founder – Fyblo).

Of course, finance will be discussed and will be addressed to all PhD students, spin-offs, students interested in innovation and anyone interested in pursuing academic entrepreneurship and learning about alternative forms of access to capital. Companies, especially innovative start-ups and SMEs, have the opportunity to access capital through alternative or complementary channels to the traditional banking system. Alternative finance encompasses a range of financing processes, instruments and mechanisms outside banks and conventional financial markets. There are numerous examples of companies that have improved their competitiveness through the use of alternative finance instruments. It is therefore crucial to spread awareness of this type of financing and the opportunities associated with it. The upcoming Entrepreneurs’ Café will therefore provide an opportunity to explore and discuss various forms of alternative finance, such as venture capital, equity crowdfunding and tokenization. During the event, industry professionals will share their experiences and success stories of start-ups that have benefited from these modes of financing will be presented.

It is worth noting that these meetings are characterised by their informal nature, which is their peculiarity and adds value. The objectives of the Entrepreneurs’ Café meetings are to promote the dissemination of knowledge and raise awareness on key topics for MUSA, such as entrepreneurship, innovation, technology transfer, sustainability and urban regeneration, to foster the meeting between individuals from different backgrounds and professional fields in the entrepreneurial field and finally to foster the development of a community oriented towards the sharing of positive experiences and effective methodologies to support the culture of peer-to-peer learning, encouraging the mutual exchange of knowledge and skills.

Participation is absolutely free and it will also be possible to follow the meeting via the Webex platform. In order to participate, however, it is necessary to register via this link:  https://forms.gle/JZYLzePtWqWcxGZJ6
