Two days of discussions with experts and stakeholders to address the new challenges of urban transition between research, business, and institutions to design more sustainable and digital cities.
Registrations are officially open for the event “MUSA: Research and Development for the City of the Future” which will be held on March 20th and 21st at the Assolombarda headquarters in Milan. Promoted by Spoke 3 of MUSA in collaboration with Assolombarda and with the support of A2A, the event aims to provide an opportunity for discussion between institutions, universities, companies, and research centers to outline the future of cities and urban communities.
During the two days, participants will have the opportunity to explore key themes for the sustainable transition, with a focus on mobility, circular economy, and digitalization. The opening of the event will feature institutional speeches and a round table with representatives from academia and industry, including Politecnico di Milano, CNR, Bayer Italia, and A2A. A keynote speaker of international renown will follow, offering a strategic vision on smart cities and the opportunities of applied research.
On the afternoon of the first day, the program includes parallel sessions dedicated to the circular economy, energy transition, and sustainable mobility. Innovative projects will be presented, including blockchain and gamification-based solutions to incentivize sustainable behaviors, new business models for sharing mobility, and advanced analysis tools for urban mobility.
The second day will be entirely focused on the theme of smart cities, with an in-depth look at urban development models adopted at the European level and a discussion among experts on best practices for city transformation. Companies and stakeholders in the sector will also present innovative projects developed within MUSA, contributing to outlining a concrete picture of the technologies and strategies that will guide the future of metropolises.
The event is designed as an important opportunity for networking and updating, promoting synergies between research, business, and institutions to build more sustainable, digital, and inclusive cities. Anyone interested in participating can now register to take part in the discussions and actively contribute to building the city of the future.
