After three years of research, experimentation, and collaborations, MUSA – Multilayered Urban Sustainability Action – is preparing to report on the results achieved and outline future perspectives with the event “MUSA: the paths of sustainable innovation,” scheduled to take place in Milan on December 3 and 4, 2025.
Two days of discussion and in-depth analysis, designed to highlight the project’s impact on the territory and to open a dialogue toward the future phase surrounding the themes of sustainability and innovation.
A two-day program, two locations, two objectives
The event will be divided into two appointments, each with a specific objective and a symbolic location in the city.
December 3 – University of Milano-Bicocca Results and impact on economy and society: an accounting of three years The first day will aim to illustrate the main concrete results achieved during MUSA’s first three years of activity. It will be a moment of synthesis and reporting, dedicated to the research, experiments, and initiatives that have generated tangible effects on the territory, fostering the growth of skills and the creation of new opportunities for sustainable innovation. The novelty of this event is its opening to the public in the afternoon with an educational show open to all.
December 4 – Palazzo Reale MUSA beyond MUSA: from project to ecosystem The second day will be held in one of the city’s most representative locations, Palazzo Reale, and will be dedicated to the future. The focus will shift to how the MUSA ecosystem can go “beyond itself”: a new phase is being built, capable of connecting universities, institutions, businesses, and citizens in a permanent dialogue.
Poster session and awards for SMEs The event includes two moments for participation and recognition: The poster session, aimed at researchers, to present their contributions and innovative projects. The award ceremony for the winning companies of the MUSA Next Generation PMI call, which will recognize six SMEs committed to sustainable innovation pathways.
An open invitation The event represents an opportunity to take stock of what has been achieved and to look to the future with the ambition of transforming MUSA into a permanent laboratory for urban sustainability and innovation. Participation is free, with mandatory registration. The registration form will soon be available on the MUSA website.
